I oversee all plan review staff and act in the capacity of an interim building building official when the building official is not in the office.

I oversee 14 plan reviewers and assist 5 contractors who review residential construction drawings of all disciplines. My staff and I advise applicants via two electronic plan review platforms, phone, email, and in person whether proposed construction adheres to applicable building code, zoning ordinance, and related regulations and directives. I also review, create and implement processes and procedures for all residential staff to perform their necessary job functions while communicating with other sections at the City of Phoenix.

I oversaw residential and commercial construction projects in several municipalities. On average I performed 15 multi-disciplined inspections daily and completed on average 5 to 10 plan reviews weekly. I communicated with residents, tradesmen, general contractors, and building officials daily to ensure that proper construction code was met.

I was an Heavy Equipment Operator, and I assisted in many construction projects. I have experience in residential home excavation and infrastructure construction. I have completed many commercial projects from start to finish. And I also have over 1500 hours of experience in road construction.

I managed sales and daily operations of Advanced Roofing Services. I cut operating expenses by 25% and streamlined the bidding process. Along with creating all internet based sales applications, I also assisted and managed many complex remodels and additions. I have experience building homes, additions, garages, decks, etc. In my time at Advanced, the company grew from 7 to 13 employees.

I served proudly and honorably. While serving on active duty I managed, scheduled, and coordinated mandatory Department of Defense training for over 155 Marines. Before I managed training for all Marines in my company, I assisted as a non-commissioned transportation officer coordinating training and logistical operations.

Shortly after graduating high school I joined the Local 150. 

Due to the timing of the recession, I joined the Marine Corps.
