Quickly transitioned to a first grade class at Hollow Hills when the teacher went on a leave unexpectedly. Seamlessly worked with the teacher on leave, current colleagues and families to provide the best outcome for students. Provided instruction on Zoom and in-person.

Collaborated with teachers to assess needs, set objectives, and discuss strategies geared at Tier 2 Intervention to serve students below benchmark based on district assessments and teacher recommendation. Developed interventions for students struggling or at risk of falling behind using district programs and teacher created material. Created positive and engaging environment in classroom that encouraged literacy skills. Managed data and instruction for up to 78 students in grade k-6.

Fifth grade classroom teacher at Peach Hill Academy, on a temporary contract. Served on Leadership, School Site Council and collaborated with colleagues to create core curriculum, procedures, provide data driven instruction and hands on instruction for fifth graders. Provided ways for students to connect including teaching music in the form of recorders, crocheting at lunch, lunch time math support, once a week, and Friday lunch hang out. Built a kind, motivated and supportive class community.

Fourth grade math combo-relief teacher at Peach Hill Academy. Created and taught engaging math lessons and activities to fourth graders. Worked to support my colleagues and students in, focusing on student success.

Trained teachers to successfully implement Math and English Language Art programs purchased by their school districts. Facilitated whole group teacher trainings as well as one-on-one support in the classroom. Planned and monitored implementation of technology-based learning programs.

Taught kindergarten and first grade, along with a k/1 split class. Created a curriculum aligned with state standards when no published curriculum was available. Engaged with parents, co-workers and students creating a learning environment that was enjoyable, interesting and standards based. Worked with special education students that were mainstreamed into the classroom. Responsibilities included Arts Cadre grant co-writer and participant, Intervention Teacher after school, grade level chair, Bilingual/ Title I Co-Coordinator, Student Success Team member and mentor teacher.
