Tim Hortons team members have many duties, including customer service, food preparation, and cleaning. They also work with cash registers, follow food safety standards, and maintain a positive attitude.

Customer service Greet customers, Take orders, Provide excellent customer service, and Listen to customers and apologize for complaints.

Food preparation Prepare and bake food, Prepare drinks, Follow recipe and presentation standards, Maintain food safety standards, and Ensure products are fresh and accurate.

Cleaning

• Maintain cleanliness of work area, dining room, restrooms, and parking lot
• Sweep, mop, and change garbage
• Clean behind the counter
• Follow "clean as you go" practices

Cash handling

• Process cash, debit, credit, and gift card transactions
• Count cash
• Open and close registers
• Participate in cash audits

Other duties Follow operational policies and procedures, Assist other team members, Maintain regular attendance, and Communicate with fellow team members.

Material handling

• Loading and unloading bricks, stones, concrete blocks, mortar, and other masonry materials onto the worksite

Mixing mortat and grout

• Preparing mortar and grout mixtures according to specifications, ensuring proper consistency.

Cutting and prepping materials

• Cutting bricks or stones to size using hand tools or power cutters for specific applications like corners or arches.

Scaffolding support

• Setting up and maintaining scaffolding for the mason to work on.

Site preparation

• Clearing the work area of debris, leveling ground, and preparing foundations for masonry work.

Assisting the mason

• Helping the mason lay bricks, blocks, or stones by positioning materials and ensuring proper alignment.

Basic tools operation

• Using hand tools like shovels, rakes, trowels, and wheelbarrows to perform various tasks.

Following instructions

• Adhering to the foreman's directions regarding placement, layout, and quality standards.

• Maintained a clean and organized dining area by routinely sweeping floors, wiping surfaces, and removing trash.
• Enhanced customer dining experience by promptly clearing tables and efficiently resetting them for new guests.
• Helped reduce turnover time for tables through quick yet thorough cleaning practices that met all sanitation guidelines.
• Bussed tables between courses and load and unloaded trays to expedite tasks.

Refill soda, iced teas, and waters upon request from customers or servers. Remove dirty dishes, silverware, and debris from tables between courses and after customers leave. Return dirty dishes, silverware, and glassware to the dishwashing and/or bar area carefully.
