- Working in the service industry for so long, you will notice that there will be many people who come and go. Meaning, there was always someone new to train. As the new hires would join us, I would ensure that they were handling not only the food properly but the situations as well. Being a trainer taught me how to work with others on bettering not only their efficiency and communication, but mine as well. Being a crew member also allowed for the new hires to feel more comfortable coming to me to ask questions. The crew itself wasn't always the easiest to work with, but we always found ways to work through our issues instead of working around them.
