Duties Performed : Perform supervisory work directing all labor activities of utility maintenance workers engaged in sample collection activities in the City of Delray Beach distribution area. Assign, coordinate, direct, and supervise assigned water quality operations staff/equipment. (Lead & Copper) And schedule line changes with construction crew. Manage vegetation control schedule for 165 locations. (2x month) Visit minimum 10 sites daily for inspection and sample collection. Be the point of contact before, during, and after bi-annual chlorine burn event. Visit dialysis & medical offices and aquariums for notification of upcoming burn. Develop inspection program for all city interconnects and be the point of contact person with surrounding jurisdictions for water usage events. (PBC, Boca Raton, Boynton Beach, and Highland Beach) Perform quarterly inspections on interconnects and report, correct, and repair as needed. (Canal crossing pipes and meter/valve vaults). Supervise and coordinate the daily work of personnel engaged in the Water Quality program. Operate all sample collection equipment; order all field testing supplies; prepare collection reports. Drive trucks of various sizes and weights while loading, hauling, and unloading various materials and equipment. Perform required labor involved in construction and maintenance projects as part of a crew, including pavement cutting, ditch digging, manhole and pipe cleaning, pumping station and pipe repair. Operate various power equipment and hand tools used in the sewer division. Operate video equipment in order to check sewer mains.

Conduct maintenance field reviews and inspections of worksites/rights-of-way/easements; assist the crew in equipment operation and laboring activities as needed.
