Direct or coordinate comprehensive logistical or reverse logistical functions for product life cycles, including acquisition, distribution, internal allocation, delivery, recycling, reuse, or final disposal of resources.
Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery.
Establish or monitor specific supply chain-based performance measurement.
Maintain metrics, reports, process documentation, customer service logs, or training or safety records.
Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements.
Negotiate transportation rates or services.
Negotiate with suppliers or customers to improve supply chain efficiency or sustainability.
Plan or implement improvements to internal or external logistics systems or processes.
Plan or implement material flow management systems to meet production requirements.
Supervise the work of logistics specialists, planners, or schedulers.
Ensure that items are unloaded and properly placed for in-checking.
Assist other warehouse workers in unloading operations.
Consolidate in the holding area for a quality control inspection. Receive hazardous materials.
Receive, unpack, sort, checks for shortage, damage, deterioration, and expiration date.
Ensure that shipment is as ordered by checking packing slip against purchase order and the items themselves.
Identify stockage for movement into storage area.
Perform other warehousing duties (e.g., inventory, shipping, etc.) as required by the workload.
Take precautions to stop pilferage, accompanying customers and visitors.
Take proper safety precautions to prevent damage, loss, or injury to self and others.
Maintain a file of all purchase orders.
Prepare receiving reports for locally purchased items and shipments, as needed.
Complete appropriate documentation, including necessary reports of overages, shortages, or damages.
Prepare receiving reports for local purchase items not accompanied by receiving voucher.
Notify quality control personnel of all items received with possible deterioration and/or potency dates.
Trains newly assigned personnel.
Operate forklift capable of lifting up to 10,000 pounds to load, unload, transfer, and stack items from one location to another.
