I have volunteered for various assignments, including being one of four officers assigned to work with AT/CET while working in Champlain NY. Our duties while on this TDY were to inspect inbound and outbound traffic in remote locations. During this temporary TDY we would often assist Border patrol with their searches of the surrounding wooded areas in search of illegal entrants.
TDY with TRRT in 2021 for two months in Champlain NY
While doing tdy I was tasked with monitoring the movements of the Hells Angles OMG due to them having a club house both in Montreal QC and Vermont.
While working with TRRT we encountered many different OMG members from Canada. We observed and documented the gang’s movements, meetings, and interactions to gather intelligence on their activities and associations.
During our investigations I have done multiple phone exams with positive findings. One phone exam I conducted included findings of multiple messages, photos, and videos talking about the illegal activities such as firearms, narcotics, prostitution. The result of these inspections resulted multiple arrests and convictions. With these convictions CBP and NTC was able to elevate these members as TOC lookouts.
During my phone exams we were able to put lookouts on known associates with the gang and stop future crimes.
In addition, I volunteered and completed the Southwest Border Support TDY, from April to June 2022, where I participated in San Ysidro Port operations, and specifically early interdiction of potential asylum seekers in the enforcement of Title 42. In addition, I performed extensive vehicle inspections, utilizing various techniques to identify illicit materials. During this temporary assignment I was successful in identifying three imposters who attempted to gain entry into the United States with valid documents. Each of these imposters were removed from the country and returned to Mexico. I also obtained significant experience in personal search and vehicle extractions.
While working in San Diego located 92 kilos of methamphetamine, fentanyl, cocaine, and heroin on two separate occasions.
Located two children that had bolo lookouts for being kidnapped in Mexico that were attempted to be trafficked into the United States.
I have stopped a young Mexican girl who was be trafficked into the United States by someone who stated that he was an uncle of hers. During the interview I concluded through interview technique’s that he did not know who the young girl was and that he was paid to take her to Los Angeles for 500$.
I am certified in numerous areas of port operations, including passenger primary, immigration secondary, and secondary, and as a ground officer for vehicle x-ray. In each of these areas I am proficient in the relevant computer systems and databases needed to perform the required duties. I have experience in outbound operations, involving both commercial and passenger vehicles and occupants. This involved interviewing individuals to determine if they were of interest to refer for further questions or vehicle searches, specifically regarding immigration status, smuggling of contraband or money out of the country.
Since December 2021 I have been a volunteer member of the Emergency Response Team.
Some significant events during my tenure have included numerous firearms seizures and arrests, most notably as a primary officer for an individual who was a convicted felon and in possession both narcotics and a firearm. In addition, I have received numerous on the spot awards and recognition, including those for assisting in the processing of various large scale marijuana seizures, as well as responding to emergency situations at the port of entry and surrounding areas.
I have been asked to train new CBP officers with immigration duties along with all other primary and secondary duties.
I have worked with multiple different agencies while in Champlain to include JTTF, FBI, DEA, HSI and the New York state troopers.
I have TDY to El Paso Texas in 2024 and was assigned to work The Bridge of Americas. During my time there I was assigned to supervise a team of 10 CBP officers from various areas around the country.
While supervising I would coordinate with the local AT-CET team along with the local law enforcement to conduct out bound traffic inspections looking for narcotics and large money shipments leaving the United States.
I was the lead officer during a warrant issued by the United States Marshals service looking for a man wanted for murder attempting to exit the United States. During our pursuit of locating the individual we were given a brief description of the individual. I personally was in charge of observing the predestination lane walking back into Mexico where I apprehended the individual attempting to leave the US.
While working TDY I was also tasked to work with local TRRT officers and assist with interviewing people entering the US from terrorist countries.
While immigration and while working it I have done countless interviews with people from locations in central and South America.
During my interviews with subjects arriving at the port of entry I have interviewed a multitude of people who stated that they have claimed asylum in the US.
During one of my interviews with two Venezuelan citizens I noticed many of the signs showing that they could both be possible gang members. While interviewing both of them I noticed the “jump man” logo on a few of their items of clothing along with the time clock and star tattoos on their arms and neck. I asked for a phone inspection and saw images that they both had snuck into the United States illegally. I also found photos of them flashing the bull horn gang sign a symbol used by the Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua “tDa”. I worked alongside local TRRT officers and we were approved to do a complete phone extraction. We found more photos and videos showing both subject’s obtaining firearms and firing them off in fields as well as one photo of them pointing it into a young girl’s mouth.
I have been the lead officer for a full extradition warrant by the FBI who was wanted for wire fraud. During my interview the subject denied many times of any wrong doing and stuck to his story.
