• Prepare and present reports on departmental activities, crime trends, and other relevant data to higher-level management.

· Developed the first VCRT in department history from the planning, team member selection, and overall direction of the unit.

· Led VCRT through Policing using intelligence lead policing which lead to crime reduction throughout the City of Lynchburg. Which has resulted in over 90 illegal firearms seized and a significant drop in violent crime.

· Collaborating with City Departments in dealing with problem areas and locations that impact quality of life for all citizens.

· Implemented a mentoring program that allows younger officers to gain experience working with members of the VCRT.

· Established a strong working relationship with Virginia State Police and federal partners on a violent crime reduction strategy that led to a decrease in violent crime.

Served as a Detective within the Lynchburg Police Department where I was responsible for investigating various violent crimes to include rape, robbery, murder, etc. I also investigated several financial crimes that involved cyber crimes and those involving welfare fraud.

Functioned as a proficient patrol officer, responds to calls for service,
investigates the scenes of accidents and criminal offenses, makes
arrests when required and prepares appropriate reports.

Functioned as a proficient road deputy, responded to calls for
service, made arrests when required and prepared appropriate
reports. Investigated a wide range of crimes as a road deputy from weapons offenses, check fraud, sexual assault involving minors, etc. Worked in collaboration with the Regional Drug Task Force on
interdiction operations in high crime areas.

• Our healthcare providers were the focus of my attention while I resolved intricate human resource concerns.
• In charge of a Federally Qualified Health Center's provider recruiting efforts across all seven of its locations.
• Represented Johnson Health Center on various community forums and educating communities the importance of Federal Qualified Health Centers.
• Advocating with elected officials at the national level to secure funding for programs within the Federal Qualified Health Center system.
• Negotiated contracts and wrote offer letters for new providers along with Created onboarding schedules for providers as they entered the Johnson Health Center System.
