I have 10 years experience in complex investigations into criminal activity to include crimes such as murder, vehicular homicide, crimes against persons and property. Prior to transitioning into a complex crimes investigator, I worked routine patrol for the California Highway Patrol on all shifts and in various locations. Daily patrol would include traffic enforcement, accident investigations, driving under the influence arrest and all other routine patrol duties.
From April 2020 until my retirement in November 2023, I served at the Team Leader for the Inland Division Multidisciplinary Accident Investigation (MAIT) Team. The primary function of the MAIT was accident reconstruction and crime scene documentation using 3D scanners, total stations, drones, and cameras, to prepare complex reports used in prosecution of identified offenders.
Instructor of Accident Reconstruction techniques for the Riverside Sheriff's Department, Advanced Officer Training Course through Ben Clark Public Safety Training Center. Topics include math and physics, velocity calculations using momentum, crush, and kinematics.
