JOSHUA AKERS

I am a dedicated and passionate educator with a strong commitment to fostering academic excellence and personal growth in learners. With a background in middle level classrooms in various subjects, along with my experience in the ALE environment, I bring over a decade of experience in designing and delivering engaging, student-centered instruction and extra-curricular coaching to the classroom. My teaching philosophy emphasizes inclusivity, critical thinking, and real-world application, ensuring students are not only well-informed but also empowered to succeed beyond the classroom. I have led and managed all aspects of the junior high school football program, including practice planning, game strategy, and team development, fostering a culture of discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Provided strong leadership within a public school setting by mentoring students, modeling professionalism, and supporting academic and personal growth. I continuously seek to innovate in my practice, integrating technology, evidence-based strategies, and collaborative learning to create a dynamic and supportive learning environment. Whether in the classroom or through curriculum development and mentorship, I am driven by the belief that education transforms lives and strengthens communities.
