Work History

Supervisor

Ups
Lenexa, KS
07.2023 - Current
  • I started as an hourly loader/unloaded and then was promoted to supervisor after a month.
  • I am in charge of about 25- 30 employees, ensuring that they are properly trained, coached and any other way to be guided to be productive contributors to the business.
  • I make sure that once they are in the warehouse and in the trucks, that they work accurately, efficiently and most of all safely.
  • I develop relationships with my employees, because once trust is built; they will work harder for someone that they trust is going to look out for them; than they would for any of my superiors and/or the company.
  • I make sure that the employees load only the packages that are correctly labeled to go to the destination that the truck is going to and to pull out any that are not going to that destination. I also make sure that all employees load the trucks as full as space will allow.
  • I make sure that all employees are constantly moving to the work and not just standing around.
  • After trucks are loaded, I'm responsible for getting them out of here asap, so that I can get another empty truck to load.
  • I must have strong communications skills, to communicate accurately and efficiently.
  • I must be very attentive to all call ins, vacations and making sure everyone is here and ready to go on time.
  • If problems should arise, I am responsible for handling them correctly.
  • I also work at least twice as hard as any of my employees, proving that I will always do the most work and not ask them to do anything I won't do myself.
