At Access Hospital Dayton, I excelled as Lead Patient Care Coordinator, mastering HIPAA compliance and demonstrating unparalleled team collaboration. My proactive approach in managing patient safety and care coordination significantly contributed to the well-being of individuals facing mental health challenges, embodying a commitment to community service and patient advocacy.
Lead patient care assistant and patient care assistant. I worked on a inpatient lockdown detox and pych unit doing care for patients with mental illness and drug induced psychosis. And as the lead patient care assistant I had to fill the gap for any patient care assistants that where struggling with care for the patients or redirecting the patients appropriately and I had to come work their shifts if they couldn't. For me as the Lead patient care assistant it was always safety first for staff and patients and doing continual safety checks pertaining to suicidal patients and their various disorders or diagnoses. And I worked 12 to 16hour shifts on the pych and detox unit. And for me it wasn't a job as much as it was a purpose to help the community and those who opposed themselves.
