General Manager Job Description
General Manager –
Responsible for all details of customer service, sales, production, Client service, equipment maintenance, shop management, and required paperwork. The General Manager must manage the essential functions of the Division in a manner that maximizes employee safety, client satisfaction, employee opportunity, and profitability.
Sales :
· Work with Owner / Operator to establish and monitor specific written goals
· Follow existing documented Sales Process
· Provide support to staff to achieve goals set
· See that sales expectations support corporate standards and structure
Production:
· Ensure that safety is never compromised / conduct safety meetings
· Follow documented scheduling, production, and training process
· Work with Operator to continue to increase efficiency in production
· Establish realistic , defined expectations, which are communicated in the review process
· Provide coaching and support to supervisor staff to make sure production goals are met.
· Monitor the use of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and efficiency
· Monitor fuel usage on a daily bases and report all crew usage
· Ensure staffing needs are met by recruiting, training, and promoting recognition of crews members
Client Services:
· Measure and promote the satisfaction of our clients through supervision, client surveys, and communication
· Promote Tidewater Landscape through civic appearances, community involvement, etc.
· Provide coaching , structure and opportunity for supervisors to be available and responsive to client needs
Equipment:
· Ensure all equipment remains in working order.
· Ensure that equipment preventative maintenance program is followed and documented on a weekly bases.
· Provide all supervisors all required to service the properties being maintained in a safe manner.
Reporting:
· Provide written schedules to all supervisors with clear expectations
· Ensure that all employee time sheets are properly filled out
· All purchases have Purchase Order numbers attached
All employee handbook guidelines and regulations are followed and communicated.
