Duties include:

• Patient triage and assessment
• Critical care
• Patient stabilization and management
• Assisting the provider in inserting chest tubes, arterial lines, intubation, and central lines
• Program and titrate drips
• Frequent use of levophed, propofol, insulin, heparin, and cardizem
• Perform neuro evals for stroke rule-outs
• Advocate patient care concerns and treatment options to the provider
• Provide comfort and palliative care
• Analyze lab values
• Evaluate on average 20 patients a day in a 4:1 ratio

Duties include:

• Respond to emergencies including fire alarms, medical emergencies, hazardous materials, and urban search and rescue
• Determine number of resources needed to control a situation
• Patient triage and assessment
• Maintain serviceable equipment for emergency use and readiness
• Conduct fire prevention and safety training to the public
• Collaborate in a team-based environment to protect life and property
• Operate fire apparatus for transport of crew and/or equipment
• Operate fire hoses, hydrants and extinguishers to eliminate fire and prevent from spreading
• Mentor new firemen and recruits
• Initiate first aid measures to alleviate further injury and prepared victims for transport to medical facilities
• Coordinate with local, state, and federal agencies
• Assist in the containment of hazardous materials spills
• Conduct search and rescue operations during natural disasters, locating trapped individuals and providing assistance as needed

Duties include:

• Inventory of medical supplies
• Patient triage and assessment
• Control wounds and injuries en-route to hospitals
• Ensure patient safety by properly utilizing immobilization devices and administering appropriate treatments
• Operate apparatus in a safe and efficient manner
• Apply life-saving interventions
• Participate in a team-based environment
• Served a patient population of approximately 70,000 people according to the 2020 census using 4 frontline trucks
