The Flying Cactus is a legal, indoor cannabis cultivation business in Vermont. In my position as manager of cultivation, it is my responsibility to develop facility protocols, achieve quality performance in cultivation and production, and train other employees on the tasks within the standard operating procedures of all internal operations within the cultivation process. This would include operations such as propagation, cultivation, processing, packaging, facility maintenance, and inventory management.

Within these operations, some of my many tasks would include:

• Developing advanced procedural programs in lighting, climate control, integrated pest management (IPM) and irrigation for plant cloning processes, as well as vegetative and generative plant cycles in a mix of organic, aeroponic and hydroponic applications.
• Performing routine maintenance on all equipment and facilities used in the cultivation process.
• Implementing efficient workflows for planting, harvesting, and processing plants.
• Coordinating inventory management for sellable products, nutrients, and supplies.
• Ensured compliance with safety regulations during all stages of the growing cycle from planting through harvesting.
• Evaluating existing processes and implementing changes when necessary to increase efficiency and reduce costs associated with crop production.

• Guided students through academic programs and career planning sessions.
• Collaborated with teachers to support student learning and development initiatives.
• Provided one-on-one mentorship to students in need of additional academic help.
• Worked closely with volunteers who assisted with guiding activities.
