Work History

Founder

Public Lands Project
04.2020 - Current

In response to the overlooked vulnerabilities of public lands managed by the Bureau of Land Management, I founded the Public Lands Project. This conservation initiative combines written and visual narratives from the field to highlight, amplify, and protect these crucial landscapes. The project serves as a multifaceted resource— part guidebook, travelogue, and educational tool —designed to inspire and equip a broader coalition of recreational users with a deeper understanding and appreciation of America's diverse public lands.

  • Author of forthcoming book, Forgotten Lands: A Celebration and Guide to California’s Lesser-Known Landscapes. Expected publication by Heyday Books in Spring 2025. This work features a collection of essays, photographs, and illustrations that vividly convey insights from extensive fieldwork on BLM-managed public lands, enriching the conservation discourse.
  • Contributed to major publications, including the LA Times, utilizing creative storytelling to promote conservation work.
  • Elevated our digital presence through high-quality photography and storytelling, growing our social media following to over 24,000 engaged users and significantly expanding our outreach and impact.
  • Forged partnerships with key nonprofit organizations to broaden the coalition and amplify conservation efforts.
  • Experienced trip planner and guide for Usal Project, a community driven initiative connecting city dwellers with nature through immersive experiences.
