  • Make sure all SLED application are completed correctly, gather all pertinent documents, as well as fingerprints, send them to the notary, obtain a check to cover fees, and take them to the post office to be mailed. Also, distribution of the new employee SLED card when returned. I am responsible for taking photos, making all picture badges with a computer program entitled Assure ID and distributing the badges.
  • Process all I9's with everify computer program and complete the I9 forms after the new employee has been verified to work in the USA.
  • Send all new employee's information to the SC New Hire program through their computer program.
  • Maintain all employee termination's and send them by fax to SLED.
  • I also work in the Badge area, making badges which are sent by email to FedSec, Inc. from Detyens Shipyard and other contractors.
  • I am knowledgeable of the badge filing system and know the process of authorizing Badges and Vehicle passes by the Ship Superintendents at Detyens Shipyard as well as other contractors in the CMMC area of the yard. When giving out badges and vehicle passes, I collect from the new contractors their ID, vehicle insurance, and registration. Also, have the contractor complete a "Condition of Use Form for the Vehicle Pass." All the documents as well as the badges and vehicle passes are copied, assembled and place in a basket to be filed, and listed on a ledge to be billed.
  • A uniform ledge is keep to make sure all clothing is returned with an employee resigns or is terminated.

Accomplishments

  • I was awarded an upward mobility job while working in the Charleston Naval Shipyard. I had the privilege of working on submarines of which I cared a lot about. It was a very good experience.
