As a member of the Office of the State Public Health Director's Strategic Initiatives team, I:

• Supported Public Health Modernization and Healthier Together Oregon (the State Health Improvement Plan) through strategic communications development as well as planning, staffing, and facilitation of their initiative committees and advisory boards.
• Coordinated trainings and collaborative learning spaces for community-based organizations related to effective strategies to advance health equity through policy change.
• Contracted with community-based organizations and regional health equity coalitions to plan and implement external trainings related to health policy and advocacy.
• Assessed, planned, implemented and evaluated capacity-building efforts offered to community-based organizations, local public health authorities, tribal governments and other partners working to advance health equity.
• Ensured all communications, trainings, and capacity-building efforts were community-specific, trauma-informed, and offered accessibly through language, font, closed-captioning, and other accommodations.

Implemented a new, cross-program project management platform for all agency staff working statewide in offices and correctional institutions.

• Strategically coordinated and trained a diverse team of 16 staff to pilot the new platform and increase engagement by training their representative teams.

Provided support for complex and routine administrative and operational agency-wide projects

• Managed and monitored BHRN grant funding across programs to ensure The Pathfinder Network was in compliance with contractual, reporting, and deliverable requirements with OHA.
• Oversaw the opening of a new client drop-in center by creating blueprint layouts, acquiring furniture, and by soliciting and integrating feedback from staff scheduled to work in the new building.

Collaborated with the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) and Oregon Department of Human Services Aging and People with Disabilities (APD) in the planning, piloting, and implementation of a statewide Vaccine Navigator program.

• Promoted to Student Representative position before the program was implemented.
• Championed student worker perspectives as liaison with the Pandemic Response leadership team and partners at OHA and APD.
• Worked one-on-one with 17 student workers to ensure all training requirements were completed.
• Facilitated weekly listening sessions.

As a part of the OHSU-PSU Pandemic Response Team in partnership with the Oregon Health Authority, I engaged in a variety of public health case management tasks including:

• Conducted case investigations of Oregonians with confirmed positive COVID-19 exposure.
• Performed data entry and management from case investigations and contact tracing.

• Advanced equity and diversity in Walla Walla county's educational workforce by providing professional development opportunities, establishing and maintaining community partnerships, and managing numerous programs active under CEED.
• Established CEED's first Advisory Board and facilitated quarterly board meetings. Developed meeting processes, agendas, materials, and minutes.
• Expanded CEED's presence online, in schools, and in communities through strategic communications and managing CEED's website.
• Additional responsibilities included attending grant administration meetings, pursuing additional grant funding, and networking with Walla Walla professionals to pursue collaborative grant funding contracts.

• Provided advocacy services for survivors of sexual assault and/or domestic violence.
• Empowered survivors with resources including domestic violence shelter, safety planning, affordable housing assistance, free childcare, counseling, support groups, as well as both legal and medical advocacy.
• Completed 49-hour CORE Training program for WCSAP and WSCADV certification to engage in trauma-informed work with clients.

• Developed and implemented effective solicitation strategies for a team of 5 phon-a-thon callers.
• These strategies resulted in us meeting and exceeding our fundraising goal of $250,000 five months ahead of our target date and setting a school record.
• Promoted from Data Team Member using database research and managing alumni relationships.
• Began as a phon-a-thon caller facilitating positive communication between Walla Walla University and its constituents.
• Responsibilities involved reaching out to alumni through phone calls, mailings, and engaging in person when they visited Walla Walla University.
