A dedicated Criminal Investigator focused on keeping the general public safe through superior investigation of crimes and offenses. Assists fellow employees, superiors, and community leaders in complex investigations of crimes against people, property, and organized crime. With over 20 years of law enforcement-related experience and over three years of direct investigative expertise within Tribal communities, Overseen 500 documented criminal incidents and presented criminal cases to the District Attorney's office for prosecution. MMIP investigator specializes in examining cases involving missing and murdered Indigenous people, working closely with tribal communities, law enforcement agencies, and federal partners. This role includes gathering evidence, conducting interviews, analyzing case files, and ensuring culturally informed, trauma‑aware investigative practices. This helps bridge communication gaps between jurisdictions, advocate for timely responses, and support efforts to bring justice, closure, and safety to Indigenous families and communities.
Conducts objective, fair, thorough, unbiased, and timely investigations into allegations of fraud, waste, or abuse involving property, misconduct by team members, and other areas as deemed necessary. Investigations range in complexity. Some may require minimal due diligence pertaining to the specific activity. In contrast, others may involve a complex source of funds investigations involving enhanced due diligence procedures and exercise of sound judgment in recommendations to senior management. This includes data software and facial recognition to identify suspects for Law Enforcement investigations. I lead assigned investigations involving whistle-blower allegations, criminal activity by team members or patrons, violations of casino internal controls and policies and procedures, workplace violence, and use of force. Independently develops and implements investigative plans that comprise an acute understanding of the allegation(s) at issue and the jurisdiction involved and impacted by the allegation(s).
Provide law enforcement services and appropriate emergency assistance for the Pechanga IndianReservation and its residents, Government Facilities/staff, and the Band’s business interests.
Rangers are first responders to any calls for service or on site observation requiring law enforcement intervention to keep the peace or prevent criminal activity from occurring.
Rangers conduct investigations and write reports of alleged misconduct, criminal activity,Traffic accidents, etc. Rangers enforce Tribal ordinances for Pechanga Band of Luiseno Indians. Rangers staff various stationary posts, provide traffic/crowd control, conduct foot patrols of Government facilities and provide law enforcement services for special events sponsored by the Tribal Government and the Casino, when required.
Rangers regularly conduct routine patrols throughout the Pechanga reservation, including governmental buildings, remote areas, and other properties owned by the Pechanga Band. Rangers handle all animal control violations and investigate animal related incidents that occur on the reservation
