Summary

The gap in my work history reflects on the time I took to travel and raise my 2 boys, who are now 20 yrs old, and 16 yrs old. I find so much reward in being productive, building relationships, and always learning and expanding my mind and experiences.

Recently I have spent the past year, January 2023-present, doing volunteer work. I volunteer at Movement 5280 in Englewood, Co. It is an organization that mentors young adults who are experiencing or have experienced homelessness. Movement 5280 helps to provide the tools an individual needs to start a new path in life. That means helping with anything from paperwork, job training, counseling, and providing material items necessary for one to get back on their feet. There really is so much more this organization does that I would be excited to share with someone, but that is the summary. This has been one of the most rewarding and important experiences in my life. I have learned so much about kindness, empathy, patience, acceptance, and the value of each human life. I have made and grown relationships in all walks of life. In this experience, I have learned so much about myself, and I have 5280 and the people there who have trusted me with their hearts and so much more, I owe it to them. One important thing I have realized is that I seek to build strong relationships, I value all experiences and want to learn from them, I love people and I love being of service to someone, and making their day better in anyway I can. Life is a blessing and I look forward to what my next step is and how I can contribute to another community. Knowing that I will also gain from it.

Additional Information

My name is Julie, legally Julia, but I have always gone by Julie. I am married with 2 beautiful, nearly grown sons. I was born and raised in Colorado and am blessed to continue to call it home. I spend much of my time in hockey rinks watching my boys do what they love. I also love the outdoors, camping, boating, hiking. Travel is important to me, because there is so much more to learn about our world and all that it has to offer. I also have an artistic side, and when I find the time to be creative through visual art, I remember all that I love about art and creativity. I am open minded, flexible, and I am generally just a happy, friendly person.

Thank you for your time and consideration, I look forward to contributing to your environment.
