• Responsibilities while working as a LTS Operator:
• Receiving heats from the AOD.
• Deslagging heats and placing heats in the treatment station.
• Trimming up heats by adding wire such as (Ti, boron, sulfer, and casi). Also adding ( nickel, chrome, scrap, carbon).
• Once heat is within spec it will then be shipped to the caster.

• Responsibilities while working as a Caster Operator:
• Assisted in receiving ladle from the ladle treatment station. Operated ladle to transport molten metal from caster to create slabs.
• Ensured proper setup and readiness of mold and casting equipment.
• Monitored thermal conditions to ensure slab integrity and optimal machine performance.

● Fabrication area- experience in welding, the appropriate use of torch, how to bevel pipe, and the use of grinder or cutting disc.

● Caster mechanic- trained in assembling and disassembling a mold, bender or segment.

● Roll Shop- certified in installing, dismantling and moving machinery or heavy equipment.

● Warehouse- trained to take appropriate inventory

● Occasionally worked in SSAB with a current employer in the caster area.

• Kept equipment in good working order by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, and maintaining supplies

• During my time as maintenance I was responsible for the following:
• Diagnosed and resolved issues with Mazak CNC machines and manual lathes.
• Achieved optimal equipment performance through regular maintenance of cranes, company trucks, and forklifts. Addressed repair needs promptly to enhance operational reliability.
• Performed troubleshooting and repair of electrical components on various machinery, enhancing equipment reliability and performance.
• Specialized in diagnosing and repairing gearboxes on manual lathes, enhancing operational efficiency across multiple brands.
• Supported maintenance operations by executing equipment teardown and removal tasks in coordination with millwright teams.
• Completed inspections, followed maintenance schedules and completed repairs.
• Optimized operations with proactive maintenance, minimizing unexpected equipment failures.
• Maximized equipment lifespan through proactive preventative maintenance measures.
• Executed diagnostics and repairs on 480 electrical systems, enhancing reliability and performance.
