Lead improvisation sessions for youth and adults in Metro Detroit. as 10 week residencies

• Worked along with staff to design comprehensive curriculum to serve social emotional learning needs as well as intentional improv programming to optimize student education.

• Instruct Drama lessons for students K-8 at Edward Duke Ellington Music and Art Conservatory at Beckham Academy
• Planned lessons to reflect ensemble and individual student needs utilizing creative and adaptable instruction.
• Implemented effective classroom management techniques to provide safe, brave, and inspirational learning environment.
• Adapted teaching strategies to remain inclusive to diverse learning styles and performance experience.
• Students performed at various school and community events, such as Noel Night. A full production musical happens in the Spring with designs from DSA students

• Instruct Theatre classes as 8-week residencies for elementary, middle, and high school youth in the nine public school districts of Kalamazoo County.

• Facilitate low ropes courses, high ropes courses, climbing towers, and team building experiences in an outdoor setting
• Lead introspective experiences and solidify interpersonal learning while maintaining physical and emotional safety and integrity for Youth Programs, Sports Teams, Church Groups, Corporate/Professional Groups, etc.

• Provide case management, mobile crisis intervention, housing assistance, social services navigation, education/life skills, and community referrals for youth up to age 21 for nine Counties in West Michigan
• Outreach/Education, Recruitment, Presentations, Event Planning, Community Engagement, Street Outreach.

• Oversee and Supervise daily operations of After School/Summer Program for boys ages 10-17 using alcohol/substance prevention and life skills evidence-based curriculum
• Create Program Manual, Emergency Procedures Handbook, Volunteer Handbook, and other vital documents for sustainability
• Foster and maintain relationships with community resources, partners/funders, and board members
• Engage Parent and Volunteer Participation
• Recruitment and Outreach.

• Boost student literacy using developed lesson plans and culturally relevant materials
• Lead high school teens in weekly activities, trainings, and events that promote college readiness, academic support, civic engagement, leadership, and career readiness
• Disburse stipends.

• Provide safety and security of all residents and staff
• Possess clear knowledge and maintain all facility policies and procedures
• Complete behavior management information chart, logs, and written reports in a timely manner.

• Supportive full day/overnight intensive care to youth ages 5-17 with physical, social-emotional, and/or developmental disorders

• Pass Medication, Case Management, work with Clinical staff, parent, and youth to reach treatment goals.

• Develop lesson plans to serve elementary age youth in an After School Program to increase student academic progress
• In addition to duties, created clubs (drama, young men leadership)
• Attended school full-time.

• Residential Camp 5 days a week for youth ages 8-13, as many as 16 campers per cabin
• Collaborate with staff, supervise and lead outdoor activities, games, and workshops (Drama), safety and security of all youth campers.
