Description: Collaborated with a team of five to design and develop a friendly user environment for building robotics and autonomous applications using Robotics Operating System (ROS). R-IDE is a powerful Visual Studio Code extension, providing tools and features to quickly set up a ROS environment and develop ROS applications.

My Contributions: Created ROS code snippets/templates that auto generate when a user utilizes the R-IDE wizard to create a node. These snippets/templates significantly accelerate the development process by providing pre-built code structures and reducing manual coding effort. Developed the node graph for a user to visualize their active nodes communicating. This feature enhances the understanding and debugging capabilities of the application, resulting in improved efficiency and code quality.
Impact: The extension has 27 downloads over its first month, the ECE team will be using this extension in the IGVC to compete in the autonomous vehicle competition. The project received positive feedback from the client.
