Finance Assistant, Detroit Land Bank Authority

• Assist Rehab & Ready with administrative duties including financial tracking and document collecting for the Blight Elimination Grant that values over $3M
• Developed a holistic view of the DLBA through learning about the organization's procurement and property maintenance processes

Fellow, Challenge Detroit

• Collaborated with cohort members to consult on 4 multi-month projects with local nonprofits utilizing the design thinking process to provide valuable recommendations and deliverables to assist with future endeavors

• Served 1300+ hours at Bethune Elementary-Middle School with a diverse team of young adults providing social, emotional, and academic support to students in a systematically under-resourced school
• Conducted fourth-grade math academic interventions with 13 students resulting in 8,730 minutes of tutoring, increasing educational progress in coordination with partner teacher
• Spearheaded construction of a school library as Project Leader after successfully securing a grant for $1,500 and coordinating efforts with faculty and donors

• Created promotional and informative materials to communicate the organization's mission to donors and community members resulting in the expansion of literacy-based programming to include 600 pupils in Washtenaw County
• Developed impactful grant applications to secure funding for The Literacy Pack Project which provided 2,000 books and literary resources to families to help mitigate educational losses during the pandemic
