• Greet and register patients in the Emergency Room, Outpatient Center, Cancer Center, and Same Day Surgery.
• Work with patients and their families to verify demographic information, insurance, and collect copays and coinsurance as required by the individual’s insurance plan.
• Coordinate admission paperwork with nurses and obtain signatures on documents as required by MediCare.
• Communicate patient questions to the nurses and assist with other administrative tasks such as filing, copying, ordering supplies, and communicating requests to other hospital departments.
• Assist with new hire training; some of my trainees have gone on to receive awards from the hospital.
• I am consistently in the top three each month for POS collections.
