Kacie Graham

Responsible for engaging with student voters through residential life on campus at the University. This entails planning presentations on voter registration and absentee ballot voting for each dorm, and delegating team members to presenting to all 32 dorms across campus.

As a summer job, I worked as a tennis instructor for families in South Bend with children of all ages who were interested in either learning how to play tennis or improving their game.

• Best Buddies raises awareness and fosters one-on-one friendships between students with intellectual disabilities and students without intellectual disabilities.
• As the president of Best Buddies I organized multiple sensory friendly basketball games, annual 'friendship walks', and annual Trunk or Treats partnered with community organizations that are also working towards inclusivity and awareness.
• Through this work, I was able to practice developing strong partnerships with other businesses to allow for collaboration and more significant opportunities for growth.

• As one of two student members on this committee made up of parents, faculty, and school board members, I served as a voice for the students in the discernment process of changing or not changing our schools controversial and wildly offensive mascot.

I had the privilege of acting as a voice for my class during the difficult time of the Covid-19 pandemic during online and hybrid classes. I helped the administration to come up with procedures that would be applicable to the freshman class and keep everyone safe when we did eventually come back to school in person.
