Summary

I am a dedicated, empathetic and knowledgeable health and wellness educator with eight years of experience in athletics, education, personal training, and health education. My initial experience collaborating with patients on physical therapy treatment plans ignited a passion for assisting others on their health and wellness journey. My approach is holistic and based on long term nutrition and exercise treatment plans that adapt to the unique context of the patient. In my current role at University Prep, I utilized my experience as a D1 collegiate athlete to support kids and amplify self-reliance in their own personal development. As the head of the health & wellness department, I track and monitor the mental and emotional health education of our students. I have three years of experience creating unique PE & Health Education programs and course curriculum. The role is multifaceted, requiring balancing the needs of my students with long-term program development. My accomplishments include: strategizing the utilization of a $30,000 budget for equipment and program improvements, developing the school's first weight room, planning and implementing the school's first intramural sports program, and facilitating our relationship with external health organizations to improve overall wellness at the school.
