I am one of the first point of contact for patients checking in for their appointments. I diligently check if their insurance is verified, entered correctly and if needed, collect co-pays. I also make sure everything in their chart is up to date with their current ID, Insurance Chard, and HIPAA. At the conclusion of their appointment I assist in making any follow up appointments as needed. While also preforming regular registration duties, I also have responsibilities as a lead registrar. Those included making sure daily tasks are being completed, and being a good support for our team members. I work close with leadership regarding registration duties and more. Another responsibility as a lead is training all new hires regarding registration.
Women’s Health is a very fast-paced work environment. On a daily basis I check patients in and out of their appointments, schedule upcoming ones and manage referrals from other doctors. With the referrals, I would handle them dexterously and accordingly. I would also verify patients insurances, and provide estimates for their appointments. Whether it be procedures or OB care. I would also help train new employees.

Working at Lincare, I would manage various different aspects in the office. These responsibilities ranged from scheduling deliveries to patients, answering phones and providing customer service. When I started working for Lincare we had a debit of $80k accounts we could not bill. The two years I was there we were able to get it down to $20k. The attributes I acquired while working at Lincare would be that I am PAP certified and proficient with ICD-10 codes
