Born and raised in Tahoe City, California. I have gained the proper knowledge and experience to immerse myself in diverse environments and situations. From a young age, I have had a passion for operating and working on all kinds of motorized equipment. I have gained an extended education in the operation of snowcats, snowmobiles, marina-grade forklifts, snow blowers, etc. As well as the proper knowledge to fix, upgrade, and pinpoint problems. I am currently taking welding classes at Missoula College to get my Certificate of Applied Science degree. I am hoping to continue to further my education, as well as find jobs to do so. I can be trusted as a reliable, determined, punctual, and hard-working individual.
At my seasonal summer job as a Forklift Operator and Boat Hauler, I was responsible for safely launching and storing customers' boats using marine-grade “Wiggins” forklifts. This required precise equipment handling and a strong focus on safety to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction. In the spring and fall, I transported boats to and from an offsite storage facility, utilizing trucks and trailers. A significant part of my role involved conducting daily inspections of forklifts, vehicles, and trailers to ensure they were in optimal working condition. I also took on routine property maintenance and minor repairs as needed, which reinforced my attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a safe and well-functioning work environment. In addition to technical skills, I placed a high value on customer service. Communicating clearly with customers and colleagues was important to meeting client expectations and ensuring seamless operations. I worked closely with a team, while also managing independent tasks, which strengthened my ability to adapt to different working environments. These roles allowed me to develop a strong foundation in heavy equipment operation, maintenance, and customer relations. My focus on safety, reliability, and efficiency has prepared me to take on new challenges, and Id be excited to bring this experience and skill set to a new opportunity.
In my role as a landscaper for Boost Landscaping, I was responsible for creating and maintaining beautiful, functional outdoor spaces. This included tasks such as planting trees, shrubs, and flowers, installing irrigation systems, and constructing hardscapes like patios, retaining walls, and pathways. I regularly performed maintenance work, including mowing, trimming, fertilizing, and pest control, to ensure landscapes remained vibrant and healthy throughout the seasons. Working in my town's unique High Sierra environment is always a blessing. As a heavy machinery operator, I used equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and loaders to execute large-scale landscaping projects. My work involved grading and leveling land, digging trenches for irrigation, and transporting materials like soil, rocks, and mulch with precision and efficiency. I prioritized safety by conducting routine maintenance on machinery and adhering to strict safety protocols, ensuring smooth operations and a secure work environment. This job required a combination of technical expertise, physical endurance, and creative problem-solving. Collaborating with a team, I worked on diverse projects that enhanced the natural beauty of the houses around Tahoe City and Truckee, CA, while also meeting client needs and design specifications. This experience helped me refine my skills in landscape construction, equipment operation, and environmental stewardship.
As a busser at River Grill, I focused on maintaining a clean and welcoming dining environment while supporting the service team to ensure guests had an exceptional experience. I cleared and reset tables efficiently, ensuring a seamless turnover for incoming diners. By staying proactive, I kept the dining area stocked with essentials such as water glasses, napkins, and utensils, while also assisting servers with delivering bread, drinks, or additional items to tables. My role required strong multitasking, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset to keep operations running smoothly, even during high-demand periods. In my role as an expo, I served as the critical link between the kitchen and front-of-house team. I ensured every order was accurate, properly plated, and met the restaurant’s presentation standards before being served to guests. By maintaining clear and efficient communication between chefs and servers, I helped streamline food delivery, monitored timing to maintain proper course pacing, and promptly addressed any issues, such as special requests or order adjustments. This position strengthened my ability to stay organized and thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring guest satisfaction, which remained a top priority. Together, these roles allowed me to develop strong teamwork, time management, and problem-solving skills, all while contributing to the success of a highly-rated dining establishment.
As a Groundskeeper/Mower at Tahoe City Golf Course in Tahoe City, California, my role focused on maintaining the course's pristine condition to provide an outstanding experience for golfers. This involved the regular upkeep of fairways, greens, tees, and roughs using specialized mowing equipment to ensure the course was always in peak condition. My responsibilities required a strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to high standards in landscaping and maintenance. In addition to mowing, I performed routine maintenance on landscaping equipment, ensuring tools and machinery operated safely and efficiently. I also supported irrigation system upkeep, troubleshooting sprinkler issues, and providing consistent water coverage for the entire course. These tasks required an on-point approach and problem-solving skills, as well as the physical stamina to perform outdoor work in diverse weather conditions. Beyond technical tasks, my role involved maintaining the overall aesthetics and safety of the course. This included trimming, edging, removing debris, and addressing potential hazards like fallen branches or uneven terrain. I also assisted with seasonal projects, such as aeration, fertilization, and preparing the course for winter. These efforts helped preserve the course's beauty and functionality throughout the year as it was also used as a cross country ski area in the winter. Working at Tahoe City Golf Course was a rewarding experience that deepened my knowledge of grounds maintenance and landscaping, as well as gave me diverse knowledge of hydraulics, heavy machinery operation, and maintenance. It provided an opportunity to combine technical skills, teamwork, and a passion for outdoor work on my hometown golf course.
