• Labor & Delivery Shadow Experience Lovelace Women’s Hospital – Albuquerque, NM Completed a focused shadow experience observing the perioperative process of a scheduled cesarean birth, including pre-operative preparation, intraoperative sterile technique, and postoperative recovery. Observed immediate skin-to-skin bonding, breastfeeding initiation, and postpartum maternal assessments, gaining insight into nursing advocacy, patient education, and emotional support during childbirth.
• UNMH Emergency Department – Obstetric Trauma Support Assisted assigned RN in the care of a 20-week pregnant trauma patient following a motor vehicle accident. Participated in pregnancy-specific assessments and interventions while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team, reinforcing the importance of maternal stabilization and fetal considerations in acute care settings.
