Summary

The tenure of my 39 years as a medical practitioner exemplifies the enduring work that I have accomplished as clinician, academician and social worker. All these services are aimed towards women’s health care, needs and upliftment. The distinction of giving 1st IVF baby of Gujarat and pioneering work in ART, gave immense help to women of Indian and foreign nations from 1997 onwards. Giving the gift of a child for the first single mother of India in 2005 was a dynamic step forward to put practice’ into the ‘theory ‘of women’s empowerment. I Conducted numerous programs on adolescent health education, PCOS awareness, Endometriosis in Adolescent girls and ‘Save the girl child’ programs in school and colleges. These programs help the girls to understand regarding various conditions and help prevent the impacts of the diseases.

I have piloted PCOS Assistance projects, aimed at supporting patients inflicted with the problem of PCOS in all age groups. The availability of support resources for girls and women having PCOS is limited in India, so the main aim of the PCOS Assistance project is to help them deal well with the condition with proper guidance for life style management, medical assistance for infertility, weight gain, anxiety and depression, skin lesions and reduce their risk for numerous life-threatening related conditions.

Access to infertility management for ordinary citizens of India is very close to my heart. In a collegial spirit, I have started 8 IVF centers across India, with a few of them being in small towns. Initially I go to the IVF centers, teach gynaecologists the proper art of doing ART procedures. After a few months of vigorous training, they start doing the procedures on their own. This way, I am trying to give access to infertility management in all corners of India. Noting my pioneering work in India, I have been invited by a few centres across the world to help and train the new IVF specialists.

My twelve books on the subject of Infertility Management, Assisted Reproductive Techniques, (ART) Endometriosis and Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) are a testimony of my national and international profile. I have contributed 100% in seven out of the twelve books published. I have also published scientific and innovative papers in high profile peer reviewed journals. The international reach of my work can also be gauged from the popular demand on them which have resulted in eBooks and kindle versions. I am the Editor of national & International reputed journals, & also invited to peer review the articles in prestigious journals. I have taken leadership roles as the Organizing Chairperson for several, conference, continued Medical Education programs (CME) and workshops on the subject of Infertility, ART, PCOS and Endometriosis. I have been invited in several capacities as Orator, Speaker to deliver Keynote, Talks at Plenary Sessions, Chairperson, Moderator and Speaker at several International, National and local conferences I have disseminated the results of my academic finding on several aspects of infertility in 1120 including conferences, workshops ,scientific paper presentations & publications.

I am also associated with Gujarat University as a Resource Faculty member and I have trained several Embryologists and Clinicians in this role as Faculty member.

On the social work front, I organized and tutored many women for Art of Yoga, conducted large number of camps and programs for women’s empowerment. I recently received an award won in Essay competition on “My Father-My Hero, at the Obstetric & Gynecological Society of Ahmedabad. I was awarded for the Skit Competition on Organ Donation at national level, hosted by FOGSI. Inspired by liberal and humanitarian parents, the guiding force in my life is to impart health services aimed for the wellbeing, happiness and health of girls and women.

To seek and maintain full-time position that offers professional challenges utilizing interpersonal skills, excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
