01.2005 - 01.2016
  • During my 11 years at Bowling Green Metalforming I had many job task.
  • I started as a line worker. Then moved to a launch team position.
  • As a line worker i joined the ergonomic team. Our job was to look at each job on the line and set up a rotation that was bet for everyones body so that a person would not use the same muscles on each job.
  • On that launch team, I had duties of traveling to another plant to learn the process and parts of running the machines that would be brought back to our facilities. I then had to train the employees on that equipment and process.
  • I then made Team Leader over that area of parts that we built.
  • My next job i chose was a weld destruct job in the quality department. My duties in that intelled me tearing apart the spot welded parts to check for good spots welds. Recording the welds, whether good or bad, and if bad, contacting the team leader and maintenance to resolve the issue. Also, put parts on hold until it is proven that all parts were fixed or scrapped if needed.
  • I also had to get fork lift certified so that i could move parts to hold area and also move good parts to dock and place shipping labels on good material.
  • I then took another launch team job that i had to travel for and learn new process and tear downs which was spot welds and bring what i learned back and train team members on the processes. In that role i also had to learn how to use a ultrasound machine to measure the spot weld for GM Springhill. The machine was called Tessonic and i had to become a certified trainer so i could train others on the machine.
  • Upon leaving Bowling Green Metalforming, I had to do my exit interview, during which my quality manager told me if im ever in need of a job to look him up.
