This position directly supports state authorization, professional licensure/certification, institutional accreditation, and related compliance functions for delivery of courses/programs/activities at CMU’s main campus, off campus additional locations, and CMU online in support of the university community by researching primary and secondary sources to collect, analyze, prepare, and coordinate information for compliance-required surveys, screening forms, general and direct disclosures, academic program determinations, reports, etc. required by regulatory and accrediting bodies, related to program-related approvals and/or requests to state, national and/or international authorization authorities in support of the delivery of educational courses/programs. This position also directly supports the campus community through oversight of the affiliation agreement process related to student experiential activities inside and outside of Michigan for CMU’s main campus, off campus additional locations, and online, including working directly with academic departments and external agencies across the US. Additionally, this position includes supervision responsibilities of the Coordinator, Compliance Support Services and Coordinator, Affiliation Agreements positions within the Licensure, Regulatory Services & Human Capital Department (LRSHC) and budget and credit card reconciliation responsibilities, and website design/content for all LRSHC and the Veterans’ Resource Center.
I also gained valuable experience during my most recent interim position involving staff employment searches and adjunct faculty recruiting, approval, and assignment processes. This position directly supports faculty academic approval and hiring of part time adjunct faculty in support of the campus community through the hiring process in support of the delivery of education courses for off-campus additional locations and CMU online.
• Understanding requirements of state, federal, and international laws, rules, and regulations as they relate to authorization (i.e., survey needs, assessments, reports, etc.); completing required surveys, assessments, and reports in a proactive manner; implementing communication and appropriate strategies to assure compliance.
