Hello! I'm Karina. Some things about my background is that I grew up in San Jose my entire life, I've been a dancer since elementary school and I am currently studying at the University of California Berkeley with the intention of becoming a surgeon. My experiences have taught me a lot. For example, being a dancer taught me the importance of perseverance, hard work and building community. Through experiences like working as a Camp Instructor in EDMO, a Cabin Leader for the YMCA and a Front desk receptionist at the SJ Swim and Racquet club, I have been able to improve my social skills and have learned to work with a variety of personalities. In addition to this, working with children has taught me responsibility and has helped me improve my problem solving skills and think on my toes. I embrace change and am looking forward to any new opportunities for growth.
