It is important to let people know that in life you have to learn to appreciate and expect certain things, for me there are two statements that I saw somewhere or perhaps heard. "Chaos Breeds Chaos". and "Organization is Paramount". I have learned that something will happen, no project is perfect and it is how you recover that sets you apart from other candidates. Jokingly calling these two statements together a daily mantra, and believe it or not, you will find that everything else come into clarity.
Chaos happens when there are multiple issues that pop up all at once. The guest experience team and and their management team are focused on each individual person in front of them, as they should. Unfortunately when moving to the next client it is evident that there will be a team onsite overnight at least to touch base with them and make sure that we keep them updated.
When opportunities are approached with an organized plan, complete with contingency plans there should be little that needs to be done other than deploying the program at the proper time and watching it from the wings, it is imperative to trust the preparation that you have been able to supply each dancer in the program.
No matter the metaphor or best practices this provides a great way to organize, review and QA work projects, not to humiliate, but rather to find a teaching moment that will help your team rise to the top tier in service to all.
