Current Responsibilities:

• Supporting Senior Leadership on priority projects to improve project cost and schedule performance as well as ensuring new systems are "O&M Ready" meeting all standards and requirements required by HUD.
• Mentoring 10 new project managers on processes, procedures, and best practices pertinent to federal acquisitions to enhance project and program success.
• Engaging with customers, partners, and constituent groups to create positive, trusting and professional relationships leading to successful projects.

Past Responsibilities:

• Managing team to complete portfolio of acquisition projects from planning to timely awarded.
• Led program teams on application modernization through modularization and updating of update of old code bases to modern cloud-based standards, reducing operating costs and improving performance.
• Introduced and implemented agile methodologies and development best practices to project teams to enhance product development, eliminating cost and schedule variances.
• Coached teams in Agile practices and provided necessary training fully implementing agile methodologies.
• Identified issues and provided solutions to problems with HUD's enterprise project portfolio management system, improving system functionality.

• As the first CFSAN GIS Program Lead, engaged appropriate stakeholders and sponsored two innovative GIS systems from pilots to full Authority to Operate, production systems documented, ATO'ed production systems that improved food inspection operations and increased field work force productivity.
• Guided project developers and UX designers to translate project requirements and business objectives into user stories and then lead award winning UX/UI on both FIT-MAP (a mobile inspection application) and RAFT-MAP (a shellfish and water quality application).
• Identified system needs and designed processes to support business requirements.
• Managed Contract teams and engaged with customers, partners and constituent groups to create positive, trusting and professional relationships necessary to work across organizations to develop FIT-MAP and RAFT-MAP.
• Developed competency model, position descriptions, and defined assessment criteria for new staff.

Served as Acting FDA Safety Reporting Portal Team Lead from Feb 2010 - Jun 2010

• Led creation of SRP to significantly enhance adverse event reporting.
• Identified, evaluated and developed solutions to remove roadblocks to change.
• Recommended updates to current legislation, regulations and policies.
• Supervised work of contracted employees.
• Translated verbal customer requirements into written use cases and testable development stories.

Beginning in 1991, I have served in many roles across FDA. Roles included but were not limited to:

• Project Manager
• Policy Analyst, and
• Information Technology Specialist.
