Accomplishments

  • At Housing and Urban Development (HUD), led multiple teams through planning and development phases to modernize five of HUD's most critical business systems. Led the teams through a TMF mainframe application modernization from a COBOL/Unisys infrastructure to a JAVA/Azure infrastructure, optimizing application performance which resulted in improved performance. Recognized with a ‘Gears of Government Award’ from the Federal CIO Council and was an Igniting Innovation Finalist from ACT-IAC.
  • At HUD, accomplished Section 508 compliance for the Geographic Information System (eGIS) by engaging HUD's 508 Expert and the Office of General Counsel to develop and implement a priority-based strategy to perform 508 testing, document deficiencies, and remediate all modules.
  • At Food and Drug Administration (FDA) led contractor teams in the design and development of creative new applications focused on food safety initiatives. These applications (FIT-MAP and RAFT-MAP) focused on water quality, shellfish safety and food facility inspections, enabled large field workforces to complete inspections of registered food facilities in a single application all while maintaining seamless integration to FDA based legacy systems all while adhering to FDA security protocols. Recognized as one of the Top 30 Government Innovations that Mattered from GovLoop.
  • At FDA and in response to an OMB TechStat Review of a larger set of projects, created a plan to re-engineer the Safety Reporting Portal (SRP), a key industry communications gateway for reporting adverse event information. Led an interagency team to complete the design, development, test, and implementation phases of the SRP, ensuring the agreed upon timelines and program objectives were met. Recognized with the Commissioner's Special Citation.
