Affiliations

When I was in college, I was a founding member of the Yolo County SPCA(Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals) in Davis, CA. I took in unwanted animals and found suitable adoptive families for them. I went through training and became a California State Humane Officer, rescuing abused and neglected animals. I also did an internship at the Sacramento Zoo and worked in all the areas of the zoo taking care of the different animals. I found that I loved the Great Apes, so when I had the opportunity (upon graduation) to volunteer with the Chimpanzee Enrichment Project at the Washington Park Zoo, I made the move to Oregon!
