I am a member of the Mira Mesa High School Sapphire Sound. It is my third year, and I have been the drum major for two years. This role enables me to develop my leadership skills, as I frequently take attendance, deliver motivational speeches, convey information to student leaders, and lead rehearsals. I have been playing the clarinet for nine years and am a member of the Wind Ensemble, which has won various awards, including the President's Cup in 2024. I joined the school's orchestra this year and will be attending the National Orchestra Festival and the California All-State Music Education Conference in early 2026. I also formed the school's Garden Club in 2024, which I currently manage. We manage several gardens on campus and supply our harvest to the school's culinary program. Last year, I was project manager for the UCSD Listen Lab project, where I planned events such as luncheons and analyzed school data. I also oversaw several smaller groups within the project.
