As the Ambulatory MA Coordinator, I work closely with the Nursing Manager and play a key role in clinical oversight. I am currently supervising an MA clinical staff of 85+ employees. I am included in strategic decisions specific to staffing models and oversight of staff performance and processes. I work closely with clinic managers and project MA staffing needs for current and future shifts to provide optimal patient care.
• Participates in the interviewing process for all new hires
• Responsible for onboarding all new hires and following them through a 90 day training program
• Training all staff on the electronic medical records program eCW
• Providing initial and on-going counseling of MA staff for continued workflows within various department
• Complete and conduct MA annual performance reviews of staff; enforces policies, guidelines and procedures
• Coordinates cost-effective use of staff by ensuring appropriate staff-to-provider ratio
• Ensures that MA staffing and skill levels match census/acuities for the varied departments
• Collaborates with practice managers to implement training for all MA's to meet Quality Improvement Measures
• Maintain and run the RQI program for our BLS requirements
• Oversees annual mandatory education competency training of all clinical staff
