The objective is to obtain a position as an entry level ophthalmic assistant. I've been working as an assistant for ophthalmic technicians at a very busy practice for over 1 year. The duties were but not limited to, starting off patients with automated refractions, automated lensometry, obtaining diagnostic tests such as OCT, OPTOS and OPD. I have also prepared the patients in the rooms for the retina clinic, helping with putting in numbing drops along with bringing and preparing the injections for the doctor. Very detail oriented and open to learning new things.
