I have worked a variety of manual labor jobs, through these positions I have grown to understand the importance of effective communication, analytical skill, and discipline. I have also gained leadership skills as the captain of the Mens Swim and Dive Team at the University of Wyoming, helping me to build skills such as organizing team activities, creating team standards, and communicating with my team and coaches.
I spent many hours working with a variety of teams and learning from several different coaches about sport performance. In this experience I worked primarily with golf and wrestling. Some of my primary responsibilities were setup and cleanup for lifts, walking the floor and giving coaching cues, ensuring the lift runs smoothly and answering athlete questions. My responsibilities off and on the floor were geared toward learning how to make resistance training effective for athletic purpose. With Golf that was mobility and power development, especially in the core. With wrestling, it was strength and injury prevention.
With these two contrasting sports and coaches I was able to complete my experience with a great understanding of both strength and force production, and mobility and wellness.
