  • Provides a full range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services to adult and geriatric populations with speech, language, voice, cognitive-linguistic, fluency, and oropharyngeal swallowing deficits in the outpatient setting.
  • Serves as a clinical instructor/supervisor for graduate clinicians.
  • Participates in multidisciplinary committees and teams, including the Polytrauma Team, Transgender Care Team, TeleHealth Committee, and SPS Committee.
  • Additional responsibilities included provision of outpatient services primarily to individuals with ALS, voice disorders of various etiologies including specialization in gender affirming voice and communication, total laryngectomy as well as those with cognitive-communication dysfunction secondary to traumatic brain injury, subdural hematoma and other etiologies
  • Considerable administration of Videofluoroscopic Modified Barium Swallow Studies, and Rigid Stroboscopy.
  • Specialized training and additional clinical experience in post-laryngectomy voice restoration with tracheoesophageal puncture, gender-affirming voice and communication disorders, and cognitive-communication deficits.
  • Currently serves as the Laryngectomy Clinical Coordinator, which involves coordination of care with SLPs and ENTs in the community, device evaluation orders and training, and pre-operative counseling.
  • Currently, I have served as the Polytrauma SLP for the past 16 years, which involves direct care to veterans through CVT, VVC, and face-to-face appointments, as well as participation in weekly Polytrauma intradisciplinary meetings.
