I have had the opportunity to have two wonderful careers. I was a Fire Captain for 27 of the 32 years at Alhambra Fire Department. This included every type of incident that would be expected over 32 years. From the Riots of April of 1992, Northridge Earthquake of 1994 to Wildland Fire Incidents hundreds of miles from town in 2017.
The Fire Department discipline was instrumental in maintaining a small business for nearly 30 years.
Managed a fire company on emergency incidents both medical and fire incidents.
I developed and maintained and community-based program for over 16 years resulting in managing a training cadre, developing training classes. The classes resulted hundreds of community members to be prepared for man-made or natural disasters and respond to such incidents checking and assisting their neighbors and surrounding neighborhood.
