CFI purchased Transport America. I have been in the same position for over 4 years.

Have hauled loads for FedEx, Walmart, Cummins, Michael's, Kenworth, Home Depot, and Kohls.

• Handled load documentation, obtained signatures and provided copies to destination staff.
• Maneuvered vehicles with high degree of skill through narrow passageways and around obstructions such as parked cars.
• Met DOT requirements by maintaining current records and documenting reportable incidents.
• Ran efficient routes by mapping plans to GPS apps and adjusting for weather and traffic problems.
• Checked trailer hitch and secured attachments to tractor for optimal safety.
• Minimized breakdowns and complex mechanical issues by inspecting trucks each day and completing routine maintenance.
• Transferred products between distribution centers and retail locations.
• Operated with safety and skill to avoid accidents and delays.
• Clearly communicated with dispatchers to give updated information on estimated times of arrival and latest road conditions.
• Inspected trucks for malfunctions and reported vehicles to management for corrective action.
• Completed regular inspections and maintenance actions, as well as basic equipment repairs, to keep equipment operating at peak levels.
• Dropped and hooked trailers and changed configuration of equipment.

Same responsibilities as with CFI. CFI purchased Transport America. I did not change jobs. The company was renamed.
