- My job as a nursing support assistant is to perform patient comfort by utilizing resources and materials; transporting patients; answering patients call lights and requests; and reporting observations of the patient to the nurse. Document actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records. Collecting vital signs every 4 hours and blood sugars. My job is to make sure I pass water throughout my shift to my patients. I have to make sure I give a bedside report to the next (NSA) coming on shift. Make sure everything I have done with the patient is documented in the computer.
