  • Overall responsibility for Flight Operations ensuring the highest standards of Safety and Training. Responsible for Pilots, Flight Attendants, Commissary and Operational Control.
  • Managed relocation and design of new accommodations for Flight Operations Control Center and Flight Operations Management due to hurricane Ivan's damage to company offices in September 2004. Established Operations in Miami FL., utilizing housing for crews. As a result of the hurricane most were without power, communications and some without adequate accomodations.
  • Implemented automation of the Weight and Balance System. August 2004.
  • Negotiated agreement with Sabre Airline Solutions for the use of Flight Trac Operational System and Crew Trac Crew Scheduling System. July 2004.
  • Introduced B737-300 to fleet. Member of the Executive Team responsible for negotiating Operating Leases. October 2003. Increased Flight Operations manpower to cope with recent expansion. August 2004.
  • Accountable for growing fleet and adding new destinations including Chicago and Boston. Coordinated with Regulatory Authorities, CAACI and USFAA to gain required approvals to Operations Specifications within short timelines.
  • Traveled to Australia to complete inspection and acceptance of B737-300 aircraft. September 2003.
  • Commanded a Test Flight with a prototype fuel quantity indicating system installed. This system, a Transient Voltage Suppression System, was designed by Smiths Aerospace. The test flight, which was required for the FAA to issue a Supplemental Type Certificate, was completed with USFAA Engineering and Flight Test personnel onboard along with Engineers from Smiths Aerospace. This led to the approval of the certificate for this particular system for use on other B737-200's/300’s. March 2003.
  • Cut costs by downsizing Airline operations after September 11, 2001.
