Kenya Alonso Ontiveros

My background in chemistry shows the scientific understanding needed for effective patient care decision-making and to assess and respond quickly in emergency situations, and my sociology background shows my ability to provide compassionate care to patients from diverse backgrounds, communicate effectively, empathize, and stay calm under pressure, while being able to build trust and provide comfort in high-stress situations and improving the patient experience during emergencies. While I am currently CPR/AED/First Aid certified, I am prepared to handle emergency situations with confidence and skill. My experience as a barista has honed my ability to multitask, communicate under pressure, and provide excellent customer service, these skills will help me remain composed and efficient in high-stress environments. I have worked collaboratively in diverse settings, proving I have the ability to work effectively in a team, communicate clearly under pressure, and adapt to changing situations. Together, these strengths make me a well-rounded and highly capable candidate for the Hall EMT Academy. I am ready to deliver competent, compassionate, and timely care in emergencies.
