  • Dear Kerry:
  • Due to the economic impact of COVID-19 (coronavirus), WLCFS-Christian Family Solutions is implementing measures to ensure the financial stability of the organization. We must balance our ability to provide services to our clients long-term with our desire to retain our employees. This is an important responsibility and decisions are being made with prayer and every consideration of the options available to us. The current pandemic situation has impacted our organization significantly, and as a result, we find that we must make some difficult personnel decisions.
  • Due to the closure of our clinics to face-to-face clients, our work has shifted and there is limited work for our front desk staff. Effective March 24, 2020, WLCFS – Christian Family Solutions is implementing a temporary layoff of certain positions. This notice is to inform you that your position is included in this layoff, effective March 25, 2020. We expect this layoff to last until at least April 8, 2020, however, be assured that we are reassessing the circumstances regularly and may lessen or extend this timeframe. We will recall laid off employees, as business needs warrant based on job function.
  • You may be eligible for unemployment benefits under these circumstances. Contact your local unemployment office for information on eligibility and the process to apply for unemployment benefits. Present this letter to your local unemployment office as evidence of your employment status.
  • WLCFS-Christian Family Solutions will communicate with you regularly during this period. If your personal phone number, e-mail or mailing address has changed recently, please provide your current contact information to human resources immediately. Please feel free to contact Jenny Peters, Human Resources Manager, at jpeters@wlcfs.org or 262-333-9152 with any questions.
  • If you find alternate employment during this period and do not intend to return to work at WLCFS-Christian Family Solutions, please notify human resources immediately of your voluntary resignation.
  • Please know that we are working to rebuild volume right now so we can restore the team to its full strength as quickly as possible. WLCFS is uniquely positioned to provide counseling via telehealth, and we are praying that we can successfully transition clients in a way that stabilizes our organization and positions us for long-term success. Please continue to pray for our work, as we will pray for you and your family during these unprecedented times, knowing God holds all of this in His hands.
  • Sincerely
  • Jenny Peters
