I currently work with HSI agents and border patrol at the Department of Homeland, security and US Customs. Meet, greet, and interact politely and professionally with Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) agents, employees, VIPs, and the general public. Always maintain line-of-site with one or more CBP agents while performing assigned duties while having to manage over 30 guard making sure they're all sharp and doing their job

• Being a security guard at Allied, I worked for the homeless shelter in downtown San Diego
• I worked with residents, making sure the facility was safe
• I checked their bags opened doors and monitored the resident behavior would also have to escort people out when they misbehaved
• Also had to provide the staff items which often times saved residents lives, who were overdosing on drugs, near and around the facility

• As a courtesy clerk my duties were essential to the overall performance and success of my store
• I was responsible for ensuring a clean and safe work environment for all employees
• I did so by doing store sweeps every half hour to clear the floor of debris and clean heavily used areas like the checkstands and restrooms
• I also provided stellar customer service when bagging our customers' groceries
• I always greeted customers in a very welcoming manner and asked if they had any requests for how they would like things organized
• If they needed help carrying things to their car, I would happily volunteer and wish the customers a great rest of their day
• On occasion, I was also responsible for assisting our drive up and go department by bring out the correct orders to cars or handing them off to Door Dash delivery drivers
• When shorthanded, I would also assist the store by cashiering
• This made me responsible for the money and operating the store POS system with ease

• As a sales associate at JCPenney's my duties weren't too complicated
• I was mainly a cashier and in doing so I was assigned the task of handling cash and electronic payments responsibly to prevent any discrepancies with money or the register
• I also had to operate the POS system which is the basis of how our registers operate and includes many features such as looking up an item's price if the tag is missing to prevent having to go find the item on the shelf to save time
• Due to COVID we had an influx of drive up and go orders to keep shoppers from having to physically come in our stores
• When working in this department I was responsible for gathering the items our customers shopped for online in the correct style, color, size, etc
• That way it was almost as if they were shopping in the store
• I also had to organize the many orders in a designated area to prevent mix ups between orders so that every customer received the right order and wasn't charged for anything they didn't receive or given something they didn't pay for
• Once our customer arrived for pick up, I was then given the task of bring out their order to their car parked in one of our designated pick-up areas, thank them for their business, and wish them a great day

• As a sales associate at Big 5, I was responsible for the many aspects that go into selling our products
• Lifting heavy objects and separating our shipment to be able to neatly stock and organize our inventory so that everything was easily accessible for our customers
• I also had to be very knowledgeable in all areas of sports and fishing to be able to make proper recommendations regarding equipment and what the equipment was used for
• Being an expert on these subjects also made me a reliable source for questions or concerns that any customer could've possibly had
• Given that I played many sports throughout my childhood it also made me more credible
• Lastly, I was responsible for being a cashier
• I had to handle cash and electronic payment methods as well as display proficiency in operating our POS system to prevent any snags within a transaction
