Summary

Growing up in interior Alaska I've been cross-skiing, backpacking, fishing, and hunting all my life. In my late teen years, I got into scuba diving in Alaska. This passion of mine became something of great importance to me. I have started getting into the professional world of scuba diving, Working on getting my divemaster certification, and getting into the scientific world of diving. I took a scientific diving class through the University of Alaska Fairbanks, which gave me a scientific diving certification through AAUS. My goals while working on my undergrad are to get into more research-related projects and expand my knowledge in many different areas of the sciences.

Work History

Assistant Manager

  • In charge of the daily operation of the business, including scheduling divers for introduction classes, advanced classes, and a variety of diving events, understanding the needs and wants of customers in response to ordering gear they would need for all their diving adventures
  • Maintained a welcoming retail area with knowledge, cash reconciliation, answering the phones, troubleshooting computer issues, and building relationships with clients
  • In charge of the shop's social media presence on Instagram, Facebook, and Tiktok.

Cleaning Service Specialist

  • Responsibilities involved maintaining a set standard of cleanliness for multiple large stores in the area.

Data Collector

  • Specialized in collecting and analyzing data at river bank restoration projects throughout the Fairbanks and North Pole area to understand how the projects have evolved since their construction and the impact that they have had on the environment.
